* Import and export of commercial pulp and waste paper raw materials

3.1 analysis of import and export of commercial pulp

From January to September 2019, 19.81 million tons of various types of commercial pulp were imported, an increase of 1.14 million tons over the same period of the previous year, and a year-on-year increase of 6.1%. Of which: 6.53 million tons of bleached coniferous wood pulp, an increase of 374,000 tons over the same period of the previous year, an increase of 6.1% year-on-year; 8.58 million tons of bleached hardwood pulp, an increase of 150,000 tons over the same period of the previous year, an increase of 1.7%; t, a decrease of 30,000 t over the same period of the previous year, and a decrease of 5% year-on-year; 2.33 million t of dissolved pulp, an increase of 280,000 t over the same period of the previous year, an increase of 13.7%; a waste paper pulp of 570,000 t, an increase of 260,000 t over the same period of the previous year. , A year-on-year increase of 83.9%.
From the data of the import of commercial pulp in the first 9 months, except for the reduction of natural wood pulp, other varieties have increased, but the largest increase compared to the same period last year was waste pulp.
Based on the import volume of the first nine months of 2019 and the supply of commercial pulp market and combined with domestic pulp, paper and paperboard production, it is estimated that the total import volume of commercial pulp in 2019 will be about 27 million tons (including 3.1 million tons of dissolved pulp, waste 900,000 tons of pulp), the actual consumption of imported commercial paper pulp increased by about 4.8% year-on-year. The export volume is expected to be 100,000 tons, which is basically the same as the previous year.

3.2 Waste paper imports and waste paper pulp production

From January to September 2019, a total of 8.12 million tons of various types of waste paper were imported, a decrease of 3.41 million tons from the same period of the previous year, and a year-on-year decrease of 30%. Among them: OCC is 6.17 million tons, which is 2.35 million tons less than the same period of the previous year, and a decrease of 27.6% year-on-year; ONP / OMG is 1.68 million tons, which is 830,000 tons less than the same period of the previous year and a decrease of 33.1% year-on-year; MOW is 270,000 tons, Compared with the same period of the previous year, it decreased by 220,000 tons, and decreased by 44.9% year-on-year.
In 2018, domestic production of waste paper pulp was 54.44 million tons, and the total consumption of waste paper was about 66.67 million tons. Of which: 17.03 million tons of imported waste paper and about 49.64 million tons of various types of waste paper recovered in China.
Constrained by environmental protection permits and import quality standards in 2019, the volume of waste paper imports will continue to decrease. It is estimated that about 10 million tons of waste paper will be imported in 2019, a decrease of about 40% over the previous year. Due to the restriction of the total amount of recyclables, the amount of domestic waste paper recycling will decrease compared to the previous year, but the production enterprises have increased their requirements for procurement quality and will make up for some of the total amount. It is estimated that 49 million tons of domestic waste paper will be recycled throughout the year, a decrease of about 600,000 tons over the previous year. The total amount of waste paper pulp produced was about 53 million tons, a decrease of about 2.6% over the previous year.

3.3 Judgment of Production and Consumption of Primary Pulp

According to the above-mentioned domestic raw pulp production and import of commercial pulp and waste paper, combined with the analysis of domestic paper and paperboard production and consumption and domestic waste paper recycling, it is estimated that the annual domestic raw pulp production in 2019 will be about 17 million tons, which is higher than With an annual decrease of about 2.7%, plus the import and export volume, it is estimated that the apparent consumption of primary paper pulp for the whole year will be about 39.1 million tons, a decrease of about 0.1% year-on-year.

invely-defoamers

Why Foam could be so inconvenient ? A light foam is generally not problematic in most applications however heavy foaming can often lead to various processing problems. These problems range from inaccurate readings from control and measuring equipment such as temperature, level and density controllers to poor mixing of reactants in chemical reaction vessels and products hanging in the foam, all too often leading to losses in production. Finally the presence of foaming can give a bad image of the way a process is operated in the eyes of a customer. The presence of foam in discharged effluent can cause complaints from local people and authorities even if the foam is harmless to people and the environment. How do silicone defoamers work ? Foam is a gas dispersion in a liquid or solid continuous phase. Foam iscreated by the surfactants which are at the air/liquid interface. Therefore air bubbles occur and are stabilised by the surfactants. Today, silicone antifoams are thebest solution to a...

How do we assess antifoam efficiency ?

How do we assess antifoam efficiency ? Quality of an antifoam is given by two main characteristics : • Knockdown ability or shock effect :Meaning the speed to destroy an existing foam. • Persistence or durability : Meaning the efficiency over time.   These two parameters can be assessed by several tests. The main test is the bubbling method. A graduated column with a glass frit in the bottom is required. Foaming water is poured in the column and air at constant flowrate is introduced through the glass frit in the column. Foam is generated by the air and starts to travel up the column. At a determined level of foam, antifoam is injected. By this method several antifoaming agents can be tested. A graph reporting foam height vs time is very helpful to establish the knockdown ability and the persistence for each product. The selected antifoam is the product with the best compromise between shock effect and durability       Environmental performance   Silicone antifo...
